Also known as the Frühlingsfest “fills Munich’s Theresienwiese with over 100 fairground rides, beer tents and live music for more than two weeks of enjoyment. Ride on the roller coasters and merry-go-rounds, or munch on all manner of sticky sweets.” That’s pretty much all one can say. BUT there’s also the grand flea market, one day only. Now that was a once-in-a-year treasure hunt!
I must say I’m quite an impulsive shopper but this market proved I’m being completely Germanised and turned into a practical bore shopper. I had a list and everything I bought fitted to it. Success – I have a new Fossil watch and a Bavarian neck scarf!
