As you know, I’m a big admirer of sunsets. Sunset time is also one of the most breathable times of the day here in Southeast Asia when you can be outdoors
and not die of heart attack.
On the first day of our recent trip to Ko Lipe we happened to have some pre-diving downtime, so we just walked down the shore and saw a crowd gathering on one of the beaches. Time for the sunset.
In Lipe there are two beaches you can see the sunset from: the very Northern part of Sunrise Beach and the Sunset Beach.
Here’s the map of Ko Lipe for your reference:

On our last day we went to check out Sunset beach and were surprised to see a camping spot there, a DIY bar with cheap mojitos, backpackers and local teenagers. Such a contrast from the preppy resorts on the other side of the island.
The sunset from there is nice too:

So if you have a soft spot in your heart for sunsets, Ko Lipe is the place to go. In my next post I’ll write more about getting there and things to do in Ko Lipe, stay tuned!
