Batu Caves

December 29, 2012

Batu Caves is caves on top of the giant stairway of 272 steps (oh I remember it well) and is a Hindu temple a little outside Kuala Lumpur.

Batu caves

A friend drove us there so to be honest I have no idea how to get there by public transportation (KTM train perhaps?). It’s an amazing area to see, a huge 40m high Murugan and not the Buddha statue, monkeys sneaking food and a very spiritual atmosphere.

The entrance is free, the walk up and down is tiring, the colours are vivid, the interior is shabby, the caves are “oh my gawd sooo high” and the entrance to the Dark caves is 40RM which we didn’t want to pay for walking down the smelly dark cave¬†inhabited by spiders and bats.

And that’s pretty much all I can say, see the pictures :-)
